Oh boy, a week ago I've been calling auto mechanic shop specializing prius and glad I found out Ken thru yelp and decided to make an appointment and let me take my Car same day for transmission service. Ken really knows these cars. Not all mechanics can say that about Prius. Ken replaced my battery. He also replaced my engine after other mechanics led me down the wrong road and incorrectly diagnosed a problem and ruined my engine. I've seen the light! My PriusV had a blown head gasket. Ken replaced my Gen3 engine with the better Gen 4. Ken is extremely knowledgeable on the Prius. The work was done promptly, and everything runs perfect. Very happy.

I Google searched for a top notch Prius mechanic who can take care of my 2010 Prius IV. I bought it 3 months ago from a Toyota dealer with only 85K. So I drove 51 miles and met with Ken. He was honest and very knowledgeable and best of all reasonable. He changed the oil and the PCV valve and gave me a maintenance schedule to follow. Thank you all who wrote awesome reviews about Ken. My commute was so worth it and looking forward for my future maintenance with the Prius Guru.

I discovered this place because of all the positive reviews (so all you people out there, never think that your reviews don't make a difference because they really do!). Those reviews are well deserved. This is a place that does its business with honesty and integrity. Ken is awesome and he has been very helpful with walking me through the overall inspection for a used Prius that I just bought. I will only come here for any work that needs to be done on my Prius.

I stumbled on this repair shop when I blew a head gasket in my 3rd Gen Prius. Since this is a common occurrence, Toyota actually addressed the situation in the 4th Gen cars. Ken's in-depth knowledge and expertise made it possible to fix the problem as Toyota did! I can't say enough, he is trustworthy and I will not take my car anywhere else (even though I had to ship it from Chicago)!! What really makes this shop stand out from any others I've ever had to deal with is the amount of care and explanation Ken puts into his work. He is always accessible and follows through with everything he has promised!

Ken is factory trained and is an expert on the Toyota hybrids. He walked me through the problem I was experiencing and totally explained the repair he was going to perform. Ken also explained to me the costs involved and presented me with options so I could make informed decisions. Ken’s only concern was to make sure the repairs would be done correctly and that I was totally satisfied with the service. I would highly recommend his services if you need a Toyota hybrid repair.

Prompt, professional, and very knowledgeable about hybrid system. Ken troubleshot the air conditioning on my 2005 prius in 2 hours and fix the problem in less than half a day. Aapparently my previous trusted mechanic messed it up. Price is reasonable too . Will definitely go back to keep my car in a good shape. If you have a hybrid do not let any regular mechanic touch your car. It's a different system and needs the expertise, tools and special software for most of the systems . Thanks Ken.

Ken from Caspian Motors was accommodating and took my car in quickly. My hybrid battery had expired, and he was able to get the vehicle working again within two days for almost half the price that my Toyota Dealership quoted me. I highly recommend, and so far my mileage is good again and my car runs smoothly. He also supplies a 2yr warranty to calm down any concerns. Highly recommended.

Ken changed my brake actuator, 4 brake pads, flushed brake fluid and changed my oil. He did all of this promptly and charged significantly less than the Toyota dealership even though he used brand OEM Toyota parts. Ken is one of those rare mechanics that surprise you with their knowledge and expertise. I found this out after having a lengthy conversation with him when diagnosing the issues with my car and getting into prius specific technicalities. Very knowledgeable, friendly, transparent and technical. Great overall experience, thanks Ken!

I went to see Ken regarding a sticky throttle on my 2010 Toyota Prius ,and he asked me 10 questions on the 11th question he “said do you have long floor mats “and I said I don’t know so he went and checked it and that was the problem . I know other Car Dealership would have taken and put in Throttlebody for $400-$800 repair and fix something that was not supposed to be fixed .so highly recommend Ken true honest reliable and 45% less expensive than Toyota dealerships.I guess is less expensive because 1) you don’t have to pay 💰 for the Service Writer.2)you don’t have to pay for the Managers 💰 cut.3) you don’t have to pay for the Dealerships bottom dollar.Ken uses all Genuine Toyota parts so this is a no brainer.

After years of going to the dealership for years to maintain my 2010 Prius, I’ve finally decided to go to other individual auto shop for my regular maintenance. The reasons are the dealership always over charge you or try to up sell non-essential services to you. Having little knowledge of cars, I always went for whatever they recommended even though I knew in my heart that they over charged me for the services. Anyway, I found Caspian through Yelp and decided to give it a shot. Ken, the owner, was very helpful and professional. He gave me a lot of tips on what to do to make my car more fuel efficient. One time I called him up to see if he could help me to put on some venting tube in my battery compartment. He told me to drop by and he did it for no cost. I’ve given him my maintenance record from the dealership and from now on, whenever the maintenance required message pops up on the screen, I’m going to him for the regular maintenance. He is professional and an expert in Prius. Friendly and sincere. I’m glad to find him for my Prius!

My Prius shut down while I was driving and I couldn't get it started again. I had no choice but to have it towed. While waiting for the tow truck I began researching hybrid specialist repair shops. Caspian popped up as the leading hybrid repair shop. The tow truck driver suggested a shop he knew of that did work on Prius engines. He said it would save me tow money since Triple A covers 7 miles for free and Caspian Motors was 15 miles from me. I had the car towed to the shop the tow truck driver recommended. Unfortunately half way through the day the shop Triple A recommended said they could not work on the car because they did not have the right equipment to fix my car. The shop suggested that the Toyota dealership would probably be the only shop to have the equipment needed. I called Caspian Motors and they informed me that they had the equipment needed for the job. After towing the truck there, Caspian was able to diagnose and fix the car within the day! I am so very grateful to find Caspian Motors and will only take my Prius to them from here on out.

Expert, honest and reasonable prices. Ken told us what was wrong with our Prius (needed a rebuilt engine) and didn’t charge us for the diagnosis. We took it to the dealer for a second look and they charged us $100 to find out the same conclusion. Ken installed a rebuilt engine and now it runs like a new car. Thanks Ken!

SOOOO long story........ I was lied to by a seller on Facebook about a 2006 Prius. He told me the car just needed a new 12v battery and that it was it. My wife and I really trusted him as he seemed to actually be a christian and informed about the christian community. He had the this big acting role on how he was just selling the car with his wife, and they just had it sitting. However upon driving it more home after purchasing it, the car started to break down. I called the best mechanic shops around checking their reviews. However, I was left with unanswered questions and just possible wait times. Ken knew what was wrong just from me explaining the issues what it needed. THERE WAS NO ONE LIKE KEN... THERE IS NO ONE LIKE KEN. This man will truly take care of you. He made my car sound like a brand new car out the lot of a dealership. He really heard me out and was very upset that I had been screwed over so bad. I am utterly amazed after he changed my battery for a new hybrid battery from Toyota and giving me a complimentary service. I had taken my car apart to make some repairs in the back and he put it back together. I did not even need to ask him. He just did it. What is most special about Ken is his expertise, as well as his compassionate customer service. He spent time driving my car just to make sure it ran great. He even test drove it with me. This man does not take this job lightly, it is lifestyle of hard work and integrity. IF YOU NEED ANY SORT OF MECHANIC, ESPECIALLY FOR A PRIUS, THIS IS THE MAN YOU COME TO. Just as others have mentioned previously, Toyota Prius Repair shop are super friendly. For me, I needed my Hv battery replaced. Ken gave me an explanation and even options for solving the problem. I opted to replace the battery as a whole. He kept me updated and was very patient and kind with me through the whole process. Highly recommend.

2007 Prius - 160,000 miles.I took my Prius in 2016 to get it repaired after the engine failed to start. Ken was able to diagnose the problem within the same day and give me a quote, which was cheaper than every other location in the area. My car was back in good shape after only a few days. Ken is a knowledgeable solution oriented mechanic with pricing and service that far surpasses the dealer. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for an expert to work on their Prius.I brought my 11 year old Gen 2 Prius to him because the battery appeared to have degraded significantly. It was like driving an ICE powered vehicle that also had to constantly charge a useless battery. Ken ran some tests, shared the results with me, and provided a few options. We decided a replacement made sense. The car was ready exactly when he promised with a brand new battery. My Prius is a hybrid again. The new battery is operating great. Gas mileage is back up to reasonable levels. Ken also provided additional suggestions on how to get the most out of the Prius. After taking my 2007 Prius to the Toyota dealership and being quoted an extremely high price for the repair, I thought that my Prius was totaled. However, after looking online we found Ken and decided to take a chance. He ended up being able to fix it for half the price and a better warranty. He finished on time and even did more work to the car for free. Ken was a pleasure to work with and I will definitely be taking my car there for future repairs. I would highly recommend this place!

2005 Prius- 159,000 milesWhile parallel parking last week, I kissed the curb with my passenger’s side rear bumper. It dislodged several supportive clips, showing about two inches of clear space on one side. I shook my head as the bumper was still attached but looking for a railroad track to tear it off.I called Ken at the Prius Repair Shop for advice. He asked several questions to make sure the car was drivable and the bumper wasn’t dragging the ground. He then asked me to bring it in the following day. I did, and he called back after lunch and said it was ready. Ken reattached the bumper with new clips and said, "no charge" as it only took several minutes to fix.For the last two years I’ve had Ken perform regular oil and filter changes, a tune-up, and replace the inverter and water pump. Ken is honest, understands the complex Prius Hybrid system, and does what he say he will do.

I just picked up my car from here, and I just want to say that all these 5 star reviews are well-earned!!!! I am so thrilled with the exceptional service I received and the quality of care. I didn't feel I was overcharged as I have with many countless other mechanics in the past, and my prius went from sounding like a jackhammer and a jar of crickets were jammed under the hood to being as silent as a snail!!! Ken is the best mechanic I know. I have been bringing my cars to repair for over 10 years now. I won't go anywhere else! I had a 1988 mercedes and now I have a 2001 toyota camry. Ken has helped me keep my cars running! I commute all the way to Laguna Hills since he is a very trust worthy mechanic. He is quick to finish any job that is necessary and will listen to anything that you may have a concern with. He is very friendly and I highly recommend for anything from oil checks to assisting with smog checks. There is a certified smog check right next door, so very convenient if you are needing to do that too!

This shop is absolutely amazing. I am so grateful to have found Ken. He is hands down the best mechanic I’ve been to. Very honest, and knowledgeable which is a rare thing in and of itself in this industry. My engine was making weird noises and I was taking it from one mechanic to another for diagnoses and estimates. I was not happy with anyone’s answers or integrity up to this point which led me to call Ken, whom I came across through a referral from a friend. When I first called him and told him the engine problem I was having with my Prius he asked me a couple questions and diagnosed the problem immediately which no one was able to do before. He didn't even hesitate. Based on the content of the questions, the speed to which he got right to the heart of the issue and his kindness, right there I knew he knew his stuff, he wasn’t going to take advantage of my situation and that's when I started to relax that I was finally in good hands. When I brought my car in he looked it over, confirmed his diagnoses and then spent hours trying every trick in the book to see if there was any way to save my engine. As it turns out my engine was failing due to other mechanics mishandling that I had been taking it to. Unfortunately it was too far gone at that point and I needed to make plans to replace it. Ken got to work and found a remanufactured engine for me at a very fair price, installed it and had my car back to me without any hiccups and in a very short timeframe. Ken is hands down THE expert when it comes to Prius hybrids. I will be taking my car to him for routine maintenance I don't want anyone else working on my car after this engine ordeal. There's no one like Ken you truly are in the best of hands with him.

I will forever go to ken for all of my prius problems or maintenance that needs to be addressed. I had to have a few parts replaced on the prius and the dealership quoted me an astronomical price. After speaking with ken on the phone, I was educated on what exactly went wrong with my prius and what my options were to cut corners on cost. Bottom line! I had a terrible experience with Ken. This was my first time and I called on Monday for an appointment and he said he was available this Thursday at 10am. This Thursday was thanksgiving but I still came because he said he was available. I came and called Ken and he said its thanksgiving were closed and rudely hung up on me. I was trying to explain to him that he told me on Monday to come this Thursday and he rudely hung up the phone while I was talking and didn't even reschedule! If Ken kindly apologized when I called him and reschedule an appointment with me I would have never wrote this review. This just shows how unorganized and unprofessional Ken really is. I'm not coming here again.

I have had my car (2007 Prius) serviced by Ken 3 times and each time I've been totally satisfied. I have 253,000 miles on the car and as long as Ken's around I have no plans on replacing it. He is honest, fair and a terrific mechanic. I highly recommend him. 5 stars for sure.

This place is great! I was having trouble finding someone to install a 12V replacement battery in my Prius but finally found their website and they installed it in about 20 minutes for more than half the price my Toyota dealership was charging. Really nice people and super knowledgable about hybrids!

It's always nice to get the job done by someone who really knows what he's doing!If you have an issue with your hybrid so don't waste your time and money somewhere else because this is the place to fix your car professionally and with a reasonable cost.I came here with some unknown issues, they took my car in a busy day and got it done in just few hours!I highly recommend this place.

My wife and I took our 2007 Prius over to Ken at Caspian Motors after reading great reviews about his business. We were about ready to give up on the Prius and get rid of it. Ken is a great mechanic and also a very honest one. He did a lot of great repair work on it for a very good price and saved our car! I HIGHLY recommend if you need car repairs, definitely go see Ken. He's got our business from now on!

Ken has repaired my a/c, did my brakes, does my oil changes, and everything done timely, doesn't charge an arm OR a leg! I just love this guy. He's always available to explain everything, too. I highly recommend anybody with a foreign car to use this guy. My Prius is a little older and Ken is going to keep it going until it is MUCH older.

As advertised- skilled, smart, polite and reasonable. Ken was able to bring my Prius back to life as other dealerships were offering to scrap it for me. Some mechanics are spooked by the Prius and yet Ken embraces it. Don't waste your time- go to an expert that cares = use this shop for all of your Prius needs. Searching the web for a reliable and affordable mechanic close-by, I found Ken at Caspian Motors and am very glad I did. Calling right away, I explained what work needed to be done on my 2008 Prius and Ken quoted me his prices, and they were great! The job was done in half a day and got my car back running great!
